Comments Thread For: Lomachenko, Ward vs. Kovalev Outshine 2016 Predictions

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - There are a couple things I've always promised myself. I barely play golf. But if I was ever lucky enough to score a hole in one, I've vowed to pluck the ball out of the cup, slide the club into the bag and head straight to my car because it'll never get any better...

"I barely play golf bla bla bla"

Why is this idiot always speaking about himself?

We are here to read information about fighters, not about you mister Fitzsimmons.

'I’ll concede that several other fights had more toe-to-toe action, but none matched a sustained level of violence along with the must-see element of the best fighter in a division meeting his most worthy challenger.' erm what? SUstained level of violence? There was barely a punch landed in the last 6 rounds other than jabs, Im wondering whether i saw a different fight to everyone else who are procliaming ward v kovalev as fight of the year, it was a dud, why cant people just admit it.

I agree. Ward likes to take away the other fighter's offense by moving inside and smothering him. But in the process he smothers himself too. This is Ward's style and it makes for an ugly fight, with lots of clinches and hardly any clean punches landed.

I'm okay with Ward, Loma, or Crawford as FOTY. It's all good..

I'm kind of surprised he thought Porter would KO Thurman... I mean Porter is rough, but I would have never though that.

Corrales vs. Uchiyama was quite the upset. I would be impressed if Corrales won again...
