Who gives a ***. People hype up exciting fighters with exhilarating performances and style, oh my god why?

We should be hyping up Lara instead right?

I am a fan of Ruslan... but there's nothing I can say. He's not elite, and he looks like he should be retired/stay retired (assuming he is now after his last fight), because he also doesn't seem to have that passion anymore. What do you expect people to say???

I will continue to watch his fights and support him, because I am a fan and he's a tough SOB who always put on a good show. Him vs Lucas & Bradley were both very exciting & fun to watch fights. Don't know how anyone can not be a fan after those wars.

It's true. He was ducked by some. He ran out of dance partners at HBO and went to Showtime desperately. No one stepped up. Not Broner, not Garcia, Berto, Peterson, etc.

Lucas Matthysse, who went back to GBP, learned about it and said, "Yes, I will fight Provodnikov."

another useless thread considering Provo never got THAT much hype. No one talked about him in a p4p sense or being a truly top level world champion.

Many did say and I was one that the guy could be very entertaining for years to come but his lack of activity is worrying and he started gassing in later fights. OH well, he was fun while it lasted.

I'm pretty sure he was never THAT hyped. People (myself included) wanted to see him in good fights but no one thought he was ever a great fighter. Just a really tough SOB who would give most fighters (even top guys) a tough night.

Sadly, he looked completely faded in his last fight. Just too much punishment over his career. A guy with that style will always have a short lived prime.

You're an idiot who knows nothing. Provo had not contractual obligations with TR, and thus he can fight anywhere. He went to Showtime looking for fights. Everyone snubbed him and was forced to fight shot-to-pieces Luis Castillo

Ruslan vs Matthysse was a joint GBP/TR promotion. Sadam Ai vs Vargas was co-promoted by TR/GB. Matthysse vs Postol was promoted by GBP and TR. So they DO business together.

I can tell your new to boxing. look up boxing cold war. during that time top rank and them didn't work with GBP. it was after shafer left where they did start doing business which is when lucas and ruslan fought. ******. ****** ducking claims everyone ducked your fighter. all those fights you mentioned were after Richard shafer left like I already said. you know nothing and you are new and are pathetic. go slob on ruslans knob fa990t and whisper to him that you know boxing HAHAHAHA.

wtf are you even talking about? provodnikov was 100% identified as a limited brawler with enough power and a good enough chin to give him a shot at winning fights. the guy was the epitome of the friday night fights fighter early in his career, and antbody worth a damn saw that portion of his career and knew where his ceiling was. it was also forcasted that he woudl fall off the deep end, and quickly, which he did.
