Why Does Everyone Think DeGale Is #1 at 168??

The man's last three fights have all been draws,

4-30-16 VS Medina, he was lucky to get a decision against a guy Jack easily stopped, I had the fight 115-113 Medina

11-28-15 VS Bute, he didn't do a thing in the second half of the fight, i had the fight 114-114

5-23-15 VS Dirrell, he won the first 5 rounds and then didn't do anything I had it 113-113 (7-5 Dirrell but he was dropped twice)

I still believe Dirrell is better and more talented

me to, he got in the grove of things in rounds 6 and started really picking DeGale apart, let's not forget before fighting DeGale it was 5 years before he fought a top opponent

Haven't seen many claiming DeGale is definitely #1, i've seen lots say the Jack-DeGale winner is and i agree.

          I don't think he's great at all.

He switch hits, but he's not very good at it. He gets hit, he has no real power, he runs out of steam after 6 rounds.

I thought Dirrell took a while to readjust to fighting at world level, but even a faded Dirrell was more talented and was schooling him in the 2nd half of that fight.

exactly, I don't understand why he's a 3-1 favorite over Jack, he might give guys problems in the first half of the fight but he's **** second half of the fight. And him and Jack share three opponents

Medina - Jack stopped him, DeGale barely got a gift decision
Bute - Jack won 9-3 but was robbed, DeGale barely got a gift decision
Groves - Jack dropped him and won easily, DeGale lost

Because his combination of skills, matched against any fighter at 168lbs, would have him the favored fighter in basically every matchup at 168lbs.

                  Wasnt it a split decision?

Yeah there was nothing easy about that fight, it was very close. I thought their performances against Bute were pretty similar, the difference being that Jack didn't get the decision as he should have.
