If Khan Was Naturally Close To Canelo's Weight, Does He Knock Canelo Out?

After clearly winning most of the rounds while the fight lasted, Khan recently confirmed that the main issue against Canelo was the weight disadvantage as many people predicted would be the case even upon initial announcement of the fight. Now he's certain that he'd stop Canelo if the odds were evenly balanced, instead of being stacked against him, so if Khan was a natural middleweight or even a light middleweight, is it likely he would KO Canelo, win a decision on the scorecards or do you believe Canelo might still be in with a shot against Khan?

Clearly won most of the rounds? He won 2... He got out boxed and outlanded otherwise. Didn't get pushed around, leaned on, clinched, etc. Size had nothing to do with him just flat out not being that good compared to Canelo.

What's next? Going to start saying if he had Tommy Hearns power and landed all his power shots hed KO Canelo? Lmao get out of here

      Honestly.. no.

Canelo ****ed his arm back for that last shot so far that his elbow was practically announcing the fight ringside with Jim Lampley, and Khan still didn't do schit to block or dodge it. That shot could've KO'd him even if he did have a chin.

Khan has skill deficits that were apparent in this fight, and that body work Canelo was landing would have wore down any version of Khan.

yes, i believe khan would have won if they were equally sized. Looked to be holding his own despite being way smaller than canelo, thing is he doesnt drain himself to make welter either, so he was jsut a welterweight with some added fat that night

You have Khan so overrated it's pathetic. Khan fights at 147 and Canelo just fought at 154 so they are only 7 pounds apart. Khan never hurt Canelo at all and Canelo almost killed Khan with one punch. There is no comparison in the quality of these two boxers. Canelo is superior in every way pound for pound. The hardest punches of heavy hitting 154 pounders like Kirkland and Angulo didn't hurt the iron jawed Canelo. Khan isn't much of a puncher and him being 8 or 10 pounds bigger wouldn't turn him into a puncher. Khan has never knocked out anybody at 147 and you actually think a somewhat bigger Khan is going to hurt or KO a guy who has never been off his feet in about 50 pro fights. You're nuts. Khan was well behind on all the official scorecards. Computerbox had Canelo landing more punches than Khan in every round. A 135 pound Canelo would still KO a 147 pound Khan because he is that much better. Face it, Flatline, Khan isn't that good. He just barely beat Algieri and couldn't even hurt him. Canelo probably made him even easier to KO than he already was. Khan will never be a champion again.

The earlier teen welter version of canelo would have demolished any version of khan, he looked with even more power at that weight plus he has always been a good counter puncher with pop, khans leaky defense and shaky chin wouldnt help even if he had weight advantage...

That right hand was overrated as ****, and far from canelo's best it was more so of a push right hand just to tap Khans chin as Canelo was just finding the distance; I dont think he anticipated that being a kill shot.....

Khan could barely beat Algieri though without a gift, /thread

I read what Khan said about him knocking out Canelo if he was the same size. Khan is one of the few boxers I really dislike. He is a poor sport and a sore loser and the biggest bragger in boxing. He always has an excuse for his many failures. If Canelo was too big for him then the crybaby shouldn't have fought him. He has never said a single kind word about Canelo or given Canelo any credit for beating him fairly and completely. In contrast Canelo was very worried about Khan thinking he might have seriously injured him. Canelo is a nice guy and a class act. Khan is a conceited jerk and an obnoxious bragger. According to this immature bragger Pacquiao and Mayweather are scared to death of him.He never has anything nice to say about the boxers who knocked him out but he praises himself to the sky. He has no class at all.
