And the son of the great fighter never reaches the fathers success cuz they didn't need that toughness or got coddled too much or some combo of that or other ****. Loma is a P4P guy, Loma Jr would be a overpaid but nowhere close to Sr's level. Here's hoping he casually participates in boxing & works towards success in another profession.

The kind of fighters who've been training all their life, since the early childhood will always beat the kind of fighters whose experience mostly came from tough upbringing. Andre Ward vs. Kovalev is a vivid example of that

Sure guys who've been training all their lives, more or less, are more likely to have success in the sport than guys who started at 15, 16 or 17 all else being equal. Thats just logical.

What I'm saying is there is a toughness needed in boxing that I think growing up rich & coddled like most sons of great boxers tend to do isn't something that helps make one a great boxer themselves & I'd suggest it even hurts you on your path in boxing. I mean I think Chavez Jr is probably the best son of a great boxer in boxing history & most people think he isn't **** lol.

But sons of "journeyman caliber" guys can succeed better than their ancestors
