Comments Thread For: Haye Reacts To Critics of His Opponents, Not Facing Briggs

Former two division world champion David Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) is taking a lot of heat from the fans for what they feel is a lackluster comeback. Fighting for the first time since July of 2012, Haye made his return on January 14th and blew out Mark De Mori in one round. He then came back in March and took out Arnold Gjergjaj in two rounds.

They are all running from Haye I could see Briggs was frightened to death the way Haye 'kept out of his way' !
Bragging about taking out a self taught youtube fighter about says it all.
What a pity Haye has taken this route he's always got a puncher's chance but seems afraid to fight anyone who has a remote chance of hurting him until he gets a world title shot.I understand the gamble but like Khan instead of fighting the best fighters and the public demanding these fights he is trying to backdoor a title shot by a route that is simply not worthy.

The last guy he fought did the worst dive in the history of boxing, from a jab as well. Hayes got so much to say about other people's opponent's but doesn't like criticism himself. Bellew isn't any better, we'd have all preferred Briggs.

I'll take Bellew over Briggs at this point.
The fight has upset written all over it.
We still do not know what Haye has left since he came back.
One thing is for sure. He is not what he used to be.
          Bellew has been active.

"It was a bit like the Bellew fight, there was nothing on the line."

So why are you fighting Bellew, and not Briggs then?

By the way, anybody knows how much Haye pocketed fighting The Cobra and the other guy?

Highly doubt that was a dive. Haye was just on a completely different level from the bums the "The Cobra" was constantly knocking out. He wasn't even ranked in the top 15 by most of the sanctioning bodies and no one had a freaking clue who he was, so that right there should give you an indicator on just how "good" he was

Because Bellew makes a load of money on Sky Box Office?

Haye is the champ and hes coming back from major time off and major surgery. Fans can WAIT because of he jumps in too quick and loses people will crucfy him.
