Canelo was outboxing him comfortably by the 4th and dominating him before the knockout. The KO itself was rung intelligence; feint to the body brought Khan's guard down and then levelled him with an overhand right.
Somebody actually understands boxing around here! After round 2 canelo had his timing down. Broke him in half to the body, was tagging him more and more to the head, and all the body shots slowed him down before the knockout. He was almost dropped the round before had him doing the stanky leg from a hook. The next round set him up with a faint downstairs and because all the abuse to the body khan bit dropped his hands and canelo came over the top and put his lights out.

This myth that khan was winning or in control of the fight and canelo just landed one lucky blow is ridiculous and shows you have no understanding of what's going on. Canelo set that punch up and was in control after round 2. If khan got up from that shot it was inevitable the ko was coming.

He would have won by just being the better fighter, too.

Khan had a speed advantage but once canelo neutralized it with timed counter punches and body work khan became a sitting duck. The last few rounds not only did canelo take away his legs but was OUTBOXING him in the middle of the ring. Never seen a fighter not even make it to the second half of a fight and so badly knocked out talk so much bs and make so many excuses. This is why nobody respects this loser. Somebody asked earlier why khan gets more grief then brook who also moved up and was ko'd? And it's because how khan carries himself outside the ring he's a clown.

****** statement by Khan. If you were bigger then Canelo would not fight you the same way. In that fight Canelo didn't care about getting hit because he knew Khan wouldn't hurt him. All he wanted was a single shot to finish the fight. You can't make ****** statements like if I was bigger, faster or stronger because the opponent doesn't fight the same way all the time. If you are bigger they box you, if you are faster they cut the ring, if you are taller they go to the body so how pathetic.

If I was bigger I would have taken him out. If I was faster, stronger, healthier, better quicker, bigger, smarter, younger, ------er I would have. But you're not. This is what separates us all.

If I was bigger, stronger and had an anvil for a chin I would've KO'd the mat.

He floated like a butterfly and got hit by a bus.

Most apt review of that fight that I've heard.

It is also why Khan doesn't really get a lot of credit for doing well in the fight. Because the end was the equivalent of a Rhino stomping out a gerbil.

Nope, Khan gets hit too easily so the weight wasn't the big issue, and though he has the advantage in hand speed over most opponents, they use timing to hit him flush. He could be good at promoting as he has ventured into, but he at least can look back and say he won a world title or two.
