Clearly Alvarez. He's more skilled than Golovkin and has a style that can bother Golovkin. Jacobs sure as **** isn't more skilled and probably plays right into Golovkin's hands, unless he has the inside advantage and can take advantage.
Stylistically, who has a better chance against GGG, Canelo or Jacobs?

Canelo, he is a Super Star at a young age and GGG is only getting older, Canelo will be the face of boxing for the next 10 years, GGG has 4 years top.Comment

GGG has a good chin (ok - great chin). But if hit right on the button by big puncher, even the concrete chin can be cracked. Jacobs has that one punch KO power. Canelo does not. Chances of Jacobs are not good, but they exist. Canelo obviously does not believe enough in his chances, otherwise he'd avoid the embarrassment of giving up belts. And self-belief is a big part of the game...Comment

jacobs has a better chance but his chin will let him down at some point. Canelo is bread and butter for ggg. Im seeing a completely different fight to everyone else, ggg will outbox canelo. And pretty damn soundly. Canelos footwork is horrible, really bad. Got a feeling it will be canelo plodding after GGG and not the other way around. GGG is obviously nothing like floyd but just watch that fight and that shows how soundly canelo can be outboxed, is a really limited fighter in some ways. Just see a cautious and respectful ggg working behind that jab, the fight being really quite unevenftul to begin with, and canelo just gradually getting busted up.Comment

Well the thing is Canelo doesn't have to drop GGG or hurt him badly. He just needs enough power to stop GGG's forward momentum. Canelo if he hurts Golovkin it won't be because he's a massive puncher it'll be because it's a sharp counter that GGG runs into. Likewise for Jacobs. Golovkin hasn't seen hands that fast AND powerful. Canelo hits hard enough to at the very least buzz golovkin and keep him in place..make him reset.
People rag on canelo that he wont be able to take the damage but if we're being fair and olay devils advocate..how do we know GGG can take it? Canelo is after all younger and fresher and seems equally as sturdy and also harder to hit. There are only so many counters GGG can take from a good puncher. If you really think about it objectively...who do you have?
Names aside..a younger, fresher, strong and sturdy fighter who will be hit less..or the wrecking ball who will hit harder but less frequently and also be hit with shots he likely doesnt see coming. I honestly think GGG and Canelo is a toss up if Canelo is as sturdy as he seems. If he's really that durable GGG is in some s hit because Canelo seems like the more rounded fighter with age on his side.Comment

Hah both of their spotlight years are overestimated imo.
Canelo will be big for the next 3-6 years while GGG has like ~2 years TOPS.
GGG is slow, predictable, and too ****y for his own good. GGG has benefited greatly from a terribly weak MW division and the fact that some boxing fans think it's okay/a good win to beat a career WW (who busted him up during that fight).
People can ignore age and cite Hopkins or Floyd all they want, but most fighters don't age like that. GGG is no doubt good, but his best win remains a ****ing WW. That's pitiful. And he's had the chance to fight Canelo at catchweights, Andre Ward at 168 (after GGG/Sanchez called him out in the first place), as well as Lara at any weight - but GGG/his team/and his rabid fans don't understand that.
GGG has zero notable wins at 35 years and after 33 or so fights. He is essentially a marginally better version of LSC...taxi cab extraordinaire !Comment

canelo is the better all around boxer.
canelo would be 10x better if he had better foot speed and a more mexican level punch output.
jacobs looks like the part but something is missing....he doesnt have that IT factor....Comment
