****nelo is a cherry-picking coward. He is already bad for boxing & unless he grows a pair, he will continue to give the sport a black eye.

I'd say GGG, more Ko's and he will literally fight anyone in the 160lb division

Canelo winning would undoubtable making him a far bigger star and garner much more mainstream attention for boxing. He is also the younger fighter which can be assumed that he would have more big fights in the future. However canelo winning will continue the form of ducking a fighter so they age and decline in skills.

Golovkin winning would make him a mainstream star but for how long? Already 34 he doesnt have long left in the sport. Potential match ups in the future with ward and degale look far more attractive with the added exposure Golovkin will recieve.

Personally even tho i prefer GGG as a fighter, i believe Canelo winning is far more important for the future of boxing.
I hope the judges aren't thinking like this although I bet they probably will be.

For me, the fight getting made period is what's good for boxing. There should be fireworks and when the smoke clears, you'll have the undisputed middleweight king hands down.

From what I've read, GGG has been willing to take Canelo on for some time now, as he has been willing to take on any top middleweight. Canelo and OScar handed the belt over which was disgraceful. I know belts don't mean that much these days, but to hand one over looks very weak. So Canelo is the younger man and all, but it's easier to see him pulling a duck that it is GGG at this point. Golovkin true enough is older, but we just saw a 51-year-old have his last fight and two years before that, he went 12 with Krusher Kovalev. Longevity is at an all time high. GGG mayb have five solid years left in which case, he can become a huge star. So in the end, I like both, but I think GGG is better for boxing.

Canelo, he is a Super Star at a young age and GGG is only getting older, Canelo will be the face of boxing for the next 10 years, GGG has 4 years top

Golovkin winning is better for the sport. he's way more active ..four fights each year vs just two for Canelo. with that said I pick Canelo to win, his combinations will be too much for GGG who was getting picked apart by Brook who just didn't have the strength to keep it up.

                canelo is the superficial answer...

GGG is the deeper proper answer.
