Former three division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. is hoping that by next week a deal will be finalized for an HBO Pay-Per-View fight between his son Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32KOs) and fellow Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs).

I smell a bait and switch where Canelo doesn't fight Chavez or Saunders and instead faces Rosado!

Well something is a bit strange in that he has been discussing this Chavez jr fight and suddenly he has been given the opportunity to fight Saunders, though it doesn't seem like he'll fight until May. I'm sure that Canelo could beat both Saunders and Chavez jr by May, allowing him to win the WBO title and keep his ring title, but there hasn't been any word on whether he will chase the middleweight belt. I think that there would probably be a genuine boycott if he faced Rosado but it'd be a great pick on your part at least.

kinda like ggg originally signed to fight bum chavez at 168 before chavez pulled out but said 164 for ward? u guys need to give it a rest this fight doesnt affect ggg canelo in any way unless chavez somehow wins u guys sound desperate. this will be an entertaining ass fight.

not to mention loughler has been saying even this week that ggg would still fight chavez so give it a rest

There's been a lot of interviewing and Chavez Sr. is an attention whore pretty much.
