Comments Thread For: Nacho Expects Canelo To Shine in His Fight Against Chavez Jr.
Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain looks forward to a potential all-Mexican fight between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32KOs) and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs) on May 6th.
And of course he should shine , Jnr will be badly drained and is a flat footed plodder Canelo will be able to land flush hard shots during every round , Jnr gets stopped , its a Canelo showcase fight thats why they want it they trying to build the GGG Canelo fight to be as big as they can make it , fallout from the May Pac drawn out affair chasing the biggest dollar .
Before the GGG fans come in talking copious amounts of S h i t... let me say this. I don't like this fight, this would've been great 3-4 years ago. Not now though. This lazy entitled f u c k Chavez doesn't deserve the opportunity to throw a monkey wrench in to the biggest fight in boxing. I mean, he probably won't; but damn what has he done to deserve this chance. Yes yes, it's laughable that Canelo will fight JR at 165 but wasn't ready for GGG at 160. But this is a business above all else, it's a (potential) easy pay day for Saul, so why not take it while he can. I'll wait for the GGG fans to talk s h i t. But I just wanna say as former fan... F U C K CHAVEZ JR.
It would be some feat if he knocked Chavez Jr. out
Its not that hard to knock out drained fighters and looking at his last weigh-in he is going to be nearly dead losing more weight , and he is not fighting a bum I bet if it does happen that Canelo stops him .
I think this fight happens on May 6th! It's too good not to! I think the deal gets signed before the end of January. The question is: where does the Saunders fight fit in, if he's committed to fight GGG in September? I can't see Canelo facing GGG without that WBO strap!
