Aleem basically did win - but the ref incorrectly called that knockdown a slip, which robbed him of the verdict.

Not sold on Khytrov yet. He's a good pressure fighter with a good engine though, and this fight feels like a good one. Although Aleem scored that (uncredited) knockdown over Richardson, Aleem's punches don't look as effective as Khytrov's, which is likely to be the difference.

Khytrov is 28 years old, had around 300 amateur fights at the highest level, top level sparring, and been a pro for 3 years now. He's not a prospect anymore so I don't know why they're still matching him like one.

Khytrov/Aleem is a man vs boy fight. Who ever is managing Aleem is doing that kid a disservice. This fight is for the WBC silver title. Instead of Aleem, Khytrov should be fighting Heiland (who's 29 years old and had fewer amateur fights). BS fight!
