Cotto has always been one of my favorites, his smooth n' bouncy great to watch style and his warrior-abilities are adorable. he will be always remembered as one of the best fighters of this era. But not yet!

He speaks more coherently than you write.

I personally feel he should of retired after canelo why be inactive for over a year just to come back and fight a canelo left over.

If he can not get a legit fight against top 147 -160 fighter, than, yes, he should retire. I am not interested in watching him against Kirkland type average fighters.

After 15 months out of the ring, he needs a tune-up before one last big fight. If he doesn't look good against Kirkland, then it's obviously time to hang it up.

Cotto is one of the greatest fighters of all time, he has fought them all, but you could tell after Trout he was done. If he is going to fight on he needs to be matched very carefully because he is half the fighter he was.

He did better against canelo than most people thought he would. I think he did a great job. Canelo just won because of physiscal size and strenght but Cotto did a great job, boxed beautifully but in the wrong weight-class.
That said, Kirkland is as big or even bigger than canelo, thats what makes this fight interesting. The size-difference is gonna be huge but Cotto will overcome it. If he would be shot Kirkland would murder him with Anne Wolfe in his corner.

Agreed but Cotto 5 years ago would have beaten Canelo I think. I think the scoring was a little cooked.
