    Collazo is underated

Luis Collazo is grossly underated, and it just shows you the achievement that Ricky Hatton pulled off.
I was really impressed with Luis, he didnt let Ricky fight his best fight, he hurt Ricky a couple of times and Ricky shrugged it off.
It was a war of attrition that Ricky won with his output and workrate. It was a close fight but Ricky gets it by my reckoning.
Respect to Ricky for a great achievement.
Luis collazo has plenty to offer boxing we have yet to see.

definetly. After the fight i respected him a lot. He fought extremely well. He handled the pressure the best so far. Hatton definetly didnt fight to the best of hi ability, but it was still a VERY impressive performance by Collazo, and i think ill follow him for a few years.

I would also like a rematch at 140, as to shutup all these hatton haters.

But after the fight, during Collazos interview, i lost my respect. He whined like a two year old girl with pigtails. COmplaining about how he should have one that fight. I just wanted to jump through the TV andy milanokas style and slap his ass across the ring. He is a very skilled fighter, but has no class at all.

          agreed
Atleast hatton was man enough to admit Callazo hurt him. How many boxers will do that.

bull****. He did what any fighter would do that got screwed out of a win, he plainly pointed out what was what. He should have won that fight, by a pt or two atleast. And, the ref. did do a poor job, and Ricky did fight dirty and hold like an octopus all night long...all the things that collazo said were true. Cant believe you'd claim he has no class when he was merely laying out the facts, and in a respectful manner too. He was the champ going into the fight, and Ricky just didnt do enough to take his title away; collazo knew that and said so....thats not whining.

What does it make him then? he was a 4/1 underdoog and in many peoples assumptions a quick stepping stone for Hatton, he proved otherwise and if a rematch goes down youll see why! Even if it doesnt look out for Luis Collazo!

Collazo beat Jose Antonio Rivera, who now holds a title at 154...not sure how good Rivera actually is since that was actually the first fight I have seen him in, but he did look good, not top level great, but still good. Rivera did say he was having trouble with the weight making 147, so that might have been the problem too
