This is all going to be for nothing right?
Canelo will make a deal with Chavez, because that is a way bigger fight. The WBA will go down their list to the next guy, Khurt. They aren't going to say, Saunders, you can't fight for 10 months based on the challenger's schedule.

Saunders could always unify with GGG to avoid mando, but GGG won't be free to fight again until June.

Seems to me like Saunders most likely will fight Khurt, and IF he wins, because he has looked terrible and may not, he'll fight either GGG in June, or if Golden Boy offers more, he'll fight Canelo in Sept. and Golden Boy will say, well we should win a belt before facing GGG, and Cinco DeMayo is really the bigger weekend, and they'll kick the unification to May 2018.

If I were Tom Loeffler, I would seriously consider giving Saunders more than he is worth, just to get the belt. If Canelo gets that belt he'll delay another 8 months for sure, and want to give a flat fee. Buying Saunders off is worth the bargaining position as the unified champ later.

Pretty much agree with this.

Confused how any negotiations between GBP and Saunders would work though. As far as we know:

- Saunders doesn't want to fight outside the UK (he's never done so before and was suggesting before any fight would be in the UK)
- Canelo doesn't want to fight in the UK (GBP said something along those lines at one point)
- GBP bad mouthing Saunders after his last performance and saying any offer gets cut in half
- GBP continually low-balling with fixed offers, that Saunders is also likely not to want to accept
- if it goes to purse bid, Saunders gets the big percentage, so GBP would simply walk away: won't get that far

On the other hand, if Saunders turns down all the offers, and Canelo does walk away, it doesn't leave Saunders another way of cashing in his belt, so he might accept a lowball if its still bigger than anything he can get elsewhere.

WBO should box him (BJ Saunders) in. Canelo or Khurtsidze: pick your poison!

I'm glad I'm slowly more and more stepping away from this **** sport. Might as well get it over with before the sport becomes obsolete.

GBP Won't let this thing go to pursebid trust me, They gonna offer Saunder a lot of money, his best offer till date.

Don't forget that WBO is all about supporting Canelo, if this goes to a pursebid and Canelo tells him to change their mandatory rules they'll do it,

Huge interests are within this fight and everyone favors Canelo.

I'd say this was the WBO giving GBP a weapon in negotiations with Chavez. Chavez team knows Canelo ain't trying to fight GGG, GBP came to the table with little options, now they have a big chip, bargaining power.

Shady things happen behind the curtains all the time, so I'm almost sure this was a Caneloo GBP request to Paco.

According to ggg nuthuggers Canelo has been fighting at MW (155) for awhile. Now that he's mandatory he hasn't fought at MW. Make up your mind. Either he has or he hasn't. You can't use this excuse to hype up ggg.

This is some bull****! They should force Saunders to fight Khurtsidze ASAP! If Saunders chose not to fight Khurtsidze, the they could find someone to face Khurtsidze for the vacant title! Hopefully that someone would be Canelo!

I haven't thought about that, I don't know I think GBP should know all the possible options and probable outcomes of their actions, Me honestly I'd take BJS all day over a Chavez fight for that WBO last belt but that Chavez fight would give me huge exposure and huge money, it's a tough one.
