    About That IV Floyd Had...

Hilarious that folks thinks he doped.

    Was is unusual?

    Hell yes.

    Was there an explanation?

Well, one was given and we are going to have to go with that one I'm afraid. Here's why:

    1) The IV was given by a paramedic, not anyone Floyd knew beforehand.

    2) The IV was done in full view and with the prior permission of a USADA collections agent, who'd been with Floyd since before the weigh-in. That is the reason a retroactive TUE was granted. Floyd had permission, just not written. (WADA rules provide for exactly what happened with Floyd that day).

    3) Urine samples were taken before and after the IVs. If Floyd was masking something, the pre-IV sample would have popped dirty.

    4) Unlike most boxers, Floyd has an Athletes Biological Passport (ABP). The folks at USADA (and, by extension WADA) have this info, which has been collected since the Mosley fight. I cant state for sure, but I'm guessing that if there was some red flag to be seen over all that time, some lab rat behind on his mortgage would have sold the info to the highest bidder a loooooooong time ago.

Floyd is clean. Get over it.

IV's aren't illegal under NSAC rules either. Fighters not doing USADA/VADA testing are free to have IV's anytime they want.

      1) IVs are commonly used to mask PEDs therefore are banned.
      2) The NSAC was informed of the IV 20 days later. Why?
      3) There are some red flags. Some of the Floyd's old tests show unusually low Testosterone/Epitestosterone ratio.

Because it's not against NSAC rules to have an IV?

Maybe but for some undisclosed reason it took USADA three weeks to inform NSAC about the IV. I wonder why.

Then I guess Floyd is still on time to inform NSAC from another IV he took maybe... for the Cotto fight? yea.

Cuz his fighter is looking dirty in the other thread in which the matter has been discussed all day long today.

Golovkin wished he had an IV for the Brook fight. Looked like that "small" MW found it tough making 160.

                    Pacquiao's contract:
Mayweather and Pacquiao agree that USADA shall notify both athletes within 24 hours of any of the following occurrences: (1) the approval by USADA of a TUE application submitted by either athlete; and/or (2) the existence of and/or any modification to an existing approved TUE. Notification pursuant to this paragraph shall consist of and be limited to: (a) the date of the application; (b) the prohibited substance(s) or method(s) for which the TUE is sought; and (c) the manner of use for the prohibited substance(s) or method(s) for which the TUE is sought.
                    It didn't happen.
