A wasted talent, sadly. But I think Yuri has enough left in the tank to produce some memorable fights. He may not be able to get past Lomachenko at this point in his career, but Gamboa doesn't know how to back down. There could be fireworks.

gamboa should take this fight if arum offers it.no haggling over money like walters did.arum is throwing him a lifeline and gamboa needs to take advantage.

I don't know if Gamboa will ever get a big fight again due to how badly hes manged. But Salido should be first to and Gamboa could take a fight in between that to knock off rust.

Well, you can't just take any offer. But I agree, Gamboa doesn't have much room for negotiation. He needs this fight. On the other hand, how many other fighters offer such exciting prospects? I think Yuri can be had for a relatively low price, but let's be reasonable....

Lomochenko's first loss to Salido was suppose to be a gimme to a guy who was down 7 times in his last 3 fights and was inactive.

                  Walters was recent

Arum wants the rematch with Salido who has been inactive since the Vargas war and been in 2 wars with Rocky Martinez. Also Arum mentioned Francisco Vargas who will be fighting in January but had been in 2 back to back wars.

Maybe I've used the wrong word "inactive" maybe just shot. Since the Salido loss the only risk Lomochenko took was against the TBA king Gary Russell who never fought a live body till he fought Lomochenko. Point is Top Rank are finding the easiest route to multiple titles in different divisions.

I don't think most felt Salido was a gimme in the guys 2nd fight. Hell he was probably the toughest of the champs at the time. Top Ranks Gradovich was easy work, for example.

Salido would be 9 months inactive for the rematch, spare me the tears. Easy route? The top Sfw is Vargas, who'd still be a huge underdog and stylistically even easier than Salido

Its just amazing to see posters putting down the guy for his resume when nobody in boxing has been matched this tough this early
