Frampton, he beat Quigg and Santa Cruz or
Lomachenko, who beat Martinez and Walters.

I'd give it in this order.

Should have been Kovalev (because I think he beat Ward)
...But of course he won't get it.

          so..in this order
          Frampton
          Lomachenko
          Pacquiao
          Joe Smith
          Terrence Crawford

Loma and pac was close... pac beat 2 top 10 welters but we all have seen him against Bradley before ...so I rank Loma ahead .

          Frampton should win.

The Postol win was impressive. But the other two were C-level fighters. Fighter of the year? Um, no.

I would say Frampton because he gave us wars, but Lomachenko dominates his opponents so hard they can never reach that point. I would slightly favor Loma over Frampton with TC trailing in 3rd.

Lomachenko or Joe Smith gets my vote.

Fighter of the year should entail giving the fans some entertainment, Bud's biggest fight was Postol and by all means it was his moment where the spot light was on him but he failed to shine he put on a cautious rather uneventful type of fight too much safety first not enough pressing of the issue maybe If he took Postol out in an entertaining manner he'd have a point but he doesn't really.

Carl Frampton and LSC gave a competitive fight, Frampton edging rounds with flashier, cleaner shots it was all round great then we also had Frampton involved in a good little scrap with Quigg where he broke Quigg's jaw and Quigg is no push over so number 1 of his new division he moved to then before that he fought what was rated as the number 2 of his division.

Outside shouts for Joe Smith Jr for his upsets I personally believed he'd beat both Hopkins and Fonfara though but by bookies standards it is seen as an upset.

It's between four guys for me
                  Carl Frampton
                  Roman Gonzalez
                  Joe Smith Jr
                  Vasyl Lomachenko

Honorable mentions being Terence Crawford, Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua.

If Crawford gets FOTY just know the marketing fix is in. Does he deserve it? *** No. His big Postal fight...The fans boo'd the fight 3 times. 3!!! No fighter should get FOTY when the fans are booing the fight for its lack of excitement and excessive running and holding.
