He's no great shakes as a fighter. MW division is weak and he sc****s into top 10 because of it - his last fight actually leaves him outside the top 10. The guy's mentality is all wrong, just not capable of the commitment required to make it to the top. Picked up a loose belt held by a regular champ and has held it hostage ever since, looking for the big cash out. He understands his limitations, hence the posturing.

I've never rated Tibbs as a trainer. He's a domestic level coach, which is fine. But he shouldn't train world champions

Billy has a lot of ability.

He just needs to get focused.
Well his skills are not impressive. And he has no punch. Punch is not trainable, at least not mutch. He is a fighter like Daniel Geale or Matthew Macklin.

Billy is a talented fighter, and is easily a top 5 MW.

His last showing was horrible due to a number of reasons. It happens. But he can use it as a wake up call.

It's harsh to say he's held his belt hostage when he's had 2 injury set backs and 2 postponements.

He doesn't understand his limitations. Technically, he's a very good fighter, and when he's 100% fit, fighting to his full capabilities, he'll give anyone a good fight.

His skills are impressive. It's his focus that lets him down.

He is a level above Maclkin. Get real.

If you want to call being 50lb overweight an injury fine - not to say that carrying that excess baggage didn't bring on the injuries! Not having the right mental frame for the game isn't excusable. If he was a more diligent trainer, if he was more focused, if he had a bigger punch!! ..... where do you draw the line with the what ifs. You can only take it as it is, the majority of his issues are of his own doing and are very avoidable.

Don't really think it will matter who the coach is, Billy is not impressive.
