Golovkin really needs new management if they're really going to reject an offer of that size, has he even made that much his whole career?? I doubt the fight sells 1 million PPV buys so I don't know what they're expecting to get by rejecting the offer, didn't Canelo fight Cotto for only $5,000,000??? that's 33% of what is being offered to Golovkin, and let's not forget Canelo was involved in the third highest PPV ever in all sports
Is $15,000,000 not enough to fight Canelo??

as I said in that comment I am not saying Golovkin is rejecting the offer, I am attacking his management.
So chill out Golovkin fan boys -
It all depends on the speculated buy rate for the event. I've never promoted a PPV event so I don't know, but some people say this could do 1m buys. Others say 1.5m. Against that it might only do 500k.
It's all speculative. But when you're looking at negotiations from the outside all you can do is look at the demands each side is making. And the side making non-standard demands is the one that's causing the problems.
Having points on a PPV fight, B-side or not, is standard. Insisting the other side takes a flat fee is non-standard. On that basis GBP is the side throwing up an obstacle here.
Obviously GBP feel that the fee costs them less than what the points would cost them, otherwise they wouldn't have offered it. So Golovkin's team holding out for points is fair enough in my book. As that is what always happens in just about every PPV event I've ever seen. Especially big ones.Comment

The date september 2017 was set by Canelo's team. Golovkin is willing to fight since two years ago.Comment

OP can you provide the source which states the money GGG was offered? At the moment all I have read are rumors.Comment

Depends how much Canelo is making...
The fight split should be 50-50 or 60-40 in Canelo favour it shouldn't be 20-80 no matter how good the money is GGG and HBO along with Golovkin team have worked their arses off getting him where he is at right now they've done wonders with promoting him, getting him the fights, getting him all the belts that Canelo would be fighting for, getting him all these branded licenses so ummm is Canelo and GBP under paying him with that offer?
Perhaps definitely so.
I mean I disagreed completely with Ward earning more than Kovalev, seriously why would Ward get a bigger pay package?
Ward is less knowm, less liked, didn't hold the belt at the time...Comment
