The Jury might be out for you, but I put Golovkin in the same tier as Lomachenko, Kovalev, Ward, Fury, Rigo, and Roman - elite.

There isn't some defining fight out there that is a real "test" for him on the horizon either.

Canelo? He's a money fight, but anyone who thinks Canelo is on Golovkin's level DKSAB. Canelo will have as much of a chance with Golovkin in the ring as he did with Floyd. It might solidify him more with "star" status but Canelo isn't some world beater defining win, he's just a popular face - that doesn't make you better than if you were less popular.

I dont see the hype for Lemiuex, he is a hard puncher and thats it, he is not elite, world level or anything special..Hell Rubio beat him faster

His level of comp is far from elite or the level to prove he is elite..he may well be elite but im sorry he has more to prove..Jacobs will literally be his best win and look how people are trying to rate him in this thread because he himself is not proven..but he is the definite #2 fighter at 160 and tis is the best fight that could be made

depends what u consider an A level fighter. hes probably the second best in the 160 division but the thing people overlook when they say its the 2 best in the division is how weak the division actually is. honestly 160 is probably the weakest division in all of boxing. its unfortunate for ggg cause there just isnt anyone anything close to a p4p fighter in the division and i dont see that changing anytime soon. ggg is a good fighter but hes dominating a very weak division and theres no way around that

As a golovkin fan, I see this a the best fighter in his resume since Murray, but it isnt a big jump either. Murray B+, Jacobs B++ if that even exist...there are not A lvl at his weight. If brook was a middleweight he would have been his A lvl fighter on his resume.

GGGs resume is as good as Terrence Crawford who is also universally recognized as a p4p fighter. All this talk about how weak 160 is hilarious. Oh man 154 is so strong with Canelo at 1 (the guy openly ducking GGG) and the Charlo brothers along with Austin trout.

I absolutely agree with everything you've said, GGG is the clear no.1 in the division and 160 is garbage. I really believe GGG can beat DeGale, Zurdo and Jack but I understand his reasons for loitering around for the money fight, it's prize fighting I don't begrudge him I just see a huge waste of talent residing at 160.

I would much prefer fights like Canelo vs Jacobs which I feel wouod be competitive instead of these incessant mismatches we're treated too from GGG and his handlers, who's next ? Heiland and Charlo ! Whilst Canelo faces BJ Flounders, fück that.

It's actually crazy how much I find myself agreeing with you when the topic isn't Fury and the HW division.

Why do you speak of losing to Pirog as if that should lower the value of a fighter? Pirog was an exceptionally talented fighter who in my opinion is criminally underrated all time.
A loss is a loss. It leaves questions unanswered until he's faced with an opponent that can potentially put him in that same predicament. His talent is up there, yet he makes mistakes at times. He has the tools to be an A level boxer, but to me, he isn't there yet

                Jacobs would pulverise Brook.

There's no need to overanalyze Jacobs an d have long discussions on where Jacobs is historivcallyky as a middleweight.

He's a champ and one if the best middleweights now and its a fight people wanted to happen.
You can't accuse GGG of ducking our not wanting to prove himsekf

By no means is his resume on par with Crawford's. But I would say Jacobs and Postol are roughly comparable wins, or will be once GGG smashes Jacobs.
