Joe Smith Jr is a futuristic model fighter. I've been running the numbers on his head and they are off the charts.
Take a look at these pictures.
Thousands of years of selective breeding have resulted in Joe Smith Jr having a head half the size of a normal fighter. You watch his fights and if you pay attention he never gets hit in the head, the target is simply too small. That's by design, not luck.Comment

Hopkins legs were gone. He was moving very strange. Reflexes were shot. Smith beat a decent pro with unexpected punch and he beat a legend who had nothing to offer. Joe Smith will be remembered less than Trevor Berbick or one of the guys who've ko'd Roy Jones. He will be remembered as well as the last guy who beat Tommy Hearns. Hearns was a better fighter than Hopkins in my opinion. Hearns won more titles, had better opposition and had fewer losses. Hearns was a highlight reel. Hopkins not so much. Hopkins was craftier but definitely not better.Comment

Great for Hopkins going out that way upside down and KO'd out
Good Job Joe Smith for ending the bitter bigot's Hopkins too long of a career,. Joe Smith did it the right way in Knocking bitter bigot Hop out of the ring upside down in humiliation. Joe Smith's mother was beautiful to watch. After so many of the other black mammies jumping around without class it was refreshing to see a beautiful dignified classy woman cheering on Joe Smith. Joe Smith will be great for boxing. Hop is gone cheer cheer no tear.Comment

I must say I was impressed with Joe Smith he may not be the next Floyd but for his style and skillset, he showed some potential. Decent smarts, patience and some surprising quickness. Nice combinations too wasn't just a one punch guy. Made Bernard miss a little too.
Hopkins even at 50+ was still a cagey fighter who obviously felt he could frustrate Smith for 12 rounds and remained upright that's why he was handpicked, but Smith showed patience, worked the body and looked for his opening. The right hand landed on Bernard was because of the nice left hand feint that Bernard went for with his chin straight up, and it was good night.Comment
