Comments Thread For: Wolfe: Cotto-Kirkland Belongs On PPV; Someone Gets Knocked Out

Ann Wolfe thinks skeptics are underestimating how entertaining of an action fight Miguel Cotto-James Kirkland will turn out to be. Wolfe fired back at critics of Cotto-Kirkland being made an HBO Pay-Per-View main event February 25 in Frisco, Texas, during a press conference to officially announce the fight Monday at the Dallas Cowboys' training facility. Cotto-Kirkland could be the first pay-per-view event of five in consecutive months next year, but Wolfe contended it'll be well worth the extra cost.

It will be that weak chined Kirkland that gets KO'd by the biggest cry baby in Boxing. Have zero interest in purchasing this garbage. Should have been on regular HBO. Only Cotto fanboys buying this crap.

I admire Cotto's boxing ability for it is beautiful whenever he fights, but I will not buy this, it shouldn't be on PPV, cmon even Kirkland vs Canelo was on free HBO so why can't this be?

of course it's not ppv level fight. it really should be a supporting fight on a ppv card. unfortunately, the boxing ppv undercards have become ridiculously weak.
that said, always enjoyed watching Kirkland, esp when Wolfe trains him

I will never deny Cotto's skills in the ring. It's his demands in his fights and the way he reacts when he loses a fight that irk me. I believe it's his price tag which has made this a ppv. This is why I just cant stand the guy. He thinks cuz he shared a ring with Pac and May that puts him on that level but he lost both those fights clearly so he isnt at that level. His personality is why I stopped being a fan of his years ago

He was already "at this level" when he fought Pacquiao and Floyd, the Floyd fight was billed "ring kings" for a reason.

His first fight with Margarito was a PPV ffs iirc.

This will definitely be a barn burner fight as long as it lasts. Only concern for the quality of the fight is Kirkland's chin and defense. But regardless, great little fight. Just wish it was on HBO.

He is below those 2. It showed clearly in the ring. He is a good b-side thats about all I can give him.
