Barrera would win this fight. Joe Smith Jr. is just a puncher. No jab, just moves forward and throws bombs. Barrera would out box him and then stop him.

Stevenson doesn't have an opponent yet while he is waiting for the winner of Alvarez vs Bute so making Stevenson vs Smith Now! But HBO usually have guys fight twice on their Network so I think it will be Joe Smith vs Sean Monaghan and a Fan Friendly East Coast Battle as his second fight on HBO as Max Kellerman already mentioned during his post fight interview
Stevenson is the last guy he should step to.

It's crazy how underrated Adonis is around here.

...but what Smith does....he does well......

like the way he throws that sweeping left hook out of nowhere...plus he is deceptively cagey for somebody relatively new to the landscape.

He actually adjusted in the Hopkins fight and stopped smothering his work in close.

He positioned himself for a shot nobody about stepping to him it is a fight that will happen eventually and nobody is saying Smith beats Stevenson but it is a fight I wouldn't mind seeing

That would be a nice fight to make

Try to build his hometown fan base like Arum did for Crawford
