I think GGG should blast DJ before 7, then he returns to Khazakstan to fight a (Heilland-Blanco) typo of opponent, would be good if he got rid of either Derevyanchenko or Khytrov on that fight, then the Sep mega fight.

Blanco just got KO'd by Ndam & the WBC ordered a 4 man tournament to determine GGG's next mandatory. But I agree generally with what you're saying & expect one of the European contenders to appear on the PPV undercard since they're represented by Haymon anyway. GGG should make his 20'th MW defense in Khazakstan around June & that will only add a little more hype for the Sept date if that fight indeed happens & he comes through these next two fights unscathed.

Danny Jacobs is a step up for ggg, but he is not elite. Ggg should win this fight convincingly.

DJ is the 2nd best MW at this point, with GGG the 1st.

I can see GGG haters not being satisfied until he holds the HW belts....say he beat Ward on the way it would be because Wards not his old best Elite self.

Don't underestimate Jacobs speed. He is a lot faster than GGG and speed kills. He can **** to. He just has to not get caught and use his speed. It wouldnt be that big of an upset if Jacobs wins.

This is exactly right, I've watched at least two fights in the last year (can't recall which ones; I'll post them when it hits me) where Tom Loeffler and Danny Jacobs were sitting right next to each other in maybe the 3rd/4th row laughing and talking. I knew then they were planning to make this fight. They just wanted it at the right time. Who knows why they chose now, but my guess is the (unofficial) agreement has been made with Canelo behind the scene, so now is the perfect time for GGG to fight an "elite" fighter to build it up.

But this might back fire. Now Jr (mexico), and Charlo (Texas) are all of sudden are real $ options for Golden Boy. Wouldn't surprise me if Canelo fought those two (and maybe Saunders) this coming year before GGG.
