Doesn't matter if Joshua loses to Wlad. It doesn't damage his reputation. So I see what Hearn is doing here.

Some good fights to look forward too 😃 I only see wilder giving AJ some problems but AJ still wins

Joshua can still fight Parker and be champ and be just as popular even if he losses to Wlad and then unify with Wilder

"I don't see why it can't happen end of 2017, but certainly early 2018."

Why do promoters always have to do this ****? Just say you want to string out the mega fights over a longer period of time and mix in tuneups in between to up the earning potential of those tuneups by keeping the fighter relevant longer. Just say you are planning it for early 2018, and there is zero chance it will happen in 2017.

Which is bull**** by the way. If Wilder doesn't face Klitschko or Joshua in 2017, that's ANOTHER wasted year for Deontay Duck Squad Wilder. And if Joshua beats Klitschko in march, he will have time for a tuneup in the summer, and then he can still fight Deontay fall 2017 while still getting his tuneups in. Joshua will be relevant regardless. Even if he loses in these fights, they will be firefights and everyone will want the rematches and trilogies even more. I would love to see 2-3 fights between Klitschko, Wilder, and Joshua EACH. You can milk 5-6 pay-per-view fights out of just those three fighters, without anyone else coming along.

If Povetkin can get back in the mix, that's 8-9 huge fights. When Usyk moves up in 2018, now you have 10-12 huge fights by the end of 2018. When Tyson Fury comes back, 14-15 huge fights.

So Eddie Hearn and Stephen Espinoza, with all due respect, what the **** do you need tuneups for? Or at least, more than one a year? You have enough big matchups to make three mega fights a year for EACH GUY with no need for a single tuneup, and you can do it without running out of top tier talent, without cutting the earning window too short on these guys. And if you do one tuneup a year per top fighter, you then you do two mega fights a year per top fighter, which makes the MOST sense for maximizing revenue while still keeping the fighters rested and healthy with an easy fight in between.

No word from hearn about a potential david haye fight which is the biggest money fight in the heavyweight division bar none if joshua gets past klitschko. Hearn must really hate haye after he humilated him at the press conference
