Referencing fights that took place when racism was still widely prevalent does very little to help your argument. Your suppositions about racism is making you look ignorant and foolish, rather than - as you would believe - giving you any sort of ethical advantage, by endowing you with the privilege to call people out for alleged 'racism'. Furthermore, much of the criticism directed at Hopkins has very little to do with his skin color and more so with his dishonest rationalization on losing the fight.

As for the reasoning behind why another poster would choose to be a fan of Conor and not Floyd, this could be due to a number of things that doesn't necessarily have to be associated with racism.

So are you saying racism isn't prevalent in our society today? Have you turned on your tv in the last two years? Have you not seen all of the stuff going on in our country? I don't know if you live in the US because if you do you and I both know that racism is still a huge problem.

Ward is a dirty fighter and fairly boring considering he doesn't go for the KO. His antics regarding a Kov rematch are also pathetic.
Rigo is a small fighter and his style is ugly(personally, I enjoy him).
Floyd is a dirty fighter who always has a lot of home-advantages in all of his fights. He's also a ****y pr*ck. He also ducked a lot of fighters in their prime.

It's not always about race. You could think so in some cases, I.e. Him against us and who we relate to, but again, race isn't always the cause. The whole world isn't just Big Dunn's & Freedom's.

Why does nobody hate Bradley? If anybody does, it's definitely not because he's black. Maybe in the past because of the Pacquiao robbery or him being undefeated(which is something everybody hates...its just natural in life to win and lose, and when some people don't lose, others don't like it.).

So people hate Floyd, Rigo, & aWard because of the colour of their skin, but Golovkin's hate isn't for the same reason? See my first point and apply it to GGG.

Hopkins deserves credit for the great things he's done in this sport and his strength of character but he also deserves criticism for his ridiculous ramblings and the weakness of his character. No one is a complete success in life or sport. No man can overcome every obstacle.

I give Hopkins credit for attempting to beat this young, strong fighter but I have no respect for his braggadocio and unwillingness to accept defeat. Time humiliates us all. It's time for Bernard to behave with humility and respect.

Floyd, Ward, and Rigo are all more accomplished than GGG but don't get anywhere near the praise he gets. I get it, people like knockouts but Deontay Wilder has a higher KO ratio than GGG and gets less credit than GGG does.
