Lol all this hate for Russians when guys across the pond AKA Joshua are clearly abusing the gear and rinsing out any evidence. Wlad was most likely using it probably still but just has the right people around him.

      Yes it is twice.

He was not 'cleared,' although his promoter used that word and it ended up in some headlines.

But find me a story where the WBC or VADA said he was "cleared." You can't, because they didn't.

The WBC ruled that it wasn't banning him even though he tested positive for meldonium because it couldn't "scientifically prove" at the time that he hadn't ingested it before the ban on the substance was in place -- it did NOT say that he was cleared, that he did no wrong, etc. It said, in effect, that it was a loophole.

The same ruling ALSO SAID that he was going to have to undergo extra testing at his own expense (which wouldn't be the case if he was cleared) AND that if the pending lawsuit between Wilder/DiBella/Rybansky/Povetkin produced evidence that he had ingested meldonium after the ban date, that he would be banned.

FURTHERMORE, the WBC said that if he fails "another test" (note that they did not say a first test, but "another test" -- which he just did fail BTW) that Povetkin will be suspended indefinitely from all WBC-sanctioned events.

If you read all of those conditions and it adds up to "he was cleared" to you, you must be working for his promoter.

Because that's as close to a public statement of "yeah, you got by on a technicality by the skin of your teeth that time, but you know and we know what was going on, so you better take care" ... and he STILL couldn't stay off the juice.

      Cheaters gonna cheat.

It is a classless remark and he's tested positive, that's two negatives for sure, just saying, that facts are, it's not the second time he's been caught. The facts of the first case are there to be read and the source of the facts is the body who conducted the tests.
i feel its a classless remark trying to cover for this cheat. he got caught TWICE in his last TWO fights. wbc called the first 1 off and wouldnt sanction this one. if you have ever been in there before you would know how serious this is and not trying to put a spin on it. just my opinion

Similar things have been said (with equal basis if not more direct flags to go on) about many U.S Olympians and athletes too, but heresay is just that. We look into everything equally and without bias or we take the result of the agencies we prefer to conduct the testing.
Are you saying VADA are corrupt? If so, then VADA testing should be scrapped, no?

I haven't suggested anywhere that I consider cheating in combat sports especially to be anything other than disgusting and deadly environment in which to seek unfair advantage.

As long as you're prepared to put Stiverne on that list too. $75,000 he was fined.

no evidence as of yet that AJ is using. If that time comes, he will receive the same condemnation. You sould like a ****in hater though. This man has been busted twice and you focusing on a fighter with no positive tests.

It is a great word especially when fishing for odd compliments.

Never been a huge fan of using big words, but using weird ones that don't get used much anymore, I am a fan of that.

                      I wasn't making a list.

If I made a list of fighters who had failed two drug tests, I wouldn't put Stiverne on it unless I'm forgetting something (I was responding to a post that said Povetkin had really only failed one test).

In fact, I can't think of a fighter ever who failed TWO TESTS for TWO DIFFERENT SUBSTANCES without so much as a fight between the tests. In like nine months, he tested positive TWICE for TWO DIFFERENT SUBSTANCES and had zero fights.

That has to be a record and first-ballot induction into the PED Hall of Shame.
