I'm just waiting for the undercard.
Hopefully they get Usyk in there against a top 10 Cruiserweight. And Chocolatito wouldn't be bad. A lot of his fans don't want him to be part of GGG undercards anymore, which is understandable but why not for this card? So we can have a great card overall. I would prefer Roman to fight somebody else other than Cuadras, but since the first fight was close and competitive we will have to live with that, I guess.
Haymon will probably fill the last spot.

mayweather, Lara and trout fights were yrs ago and when Canelo was still trying G to build his name. He stopped taking on dangerous challenges after Lara. You can count cotto who was at a 10 yr age disadvantage and 20 pound weight disadvantage but I sure won't count Kirkland, khan, beefy, or this proposed fight with Chavez as real threats.

Gives more strenght to my point, he's far more experienced now, nobody was saying Cotto was a chump or a small man after He knocked out Maravilla and a 182 de geale.

#1 GGG vs #2 Daniel Jacobs. NOBODY ducks Canelo, the 10 million dallar offer is to keep GGG from not signing not to ecourage him. Jacobs is a better opponent than anyone Canelo is facing, ex Chavez jr or BJ Saunders.

This, I'm not against the guy earning huge pay days I'm just not excited by them. GGG beats Zurdo and DeGale imo and both could do 100k buys in US for Zurdo and against DeGale in UK that'd maybe do 500k again. GGG clears out 168 their is no one to fear there.

so why move up then? if you already have him beating Zurdo and Degale, who are arguably the best at 168, then what would GGG prove moving up? regardless of what is said about his resume Golovkin will go down as one of the greats at MW. if he becomes undisputed that's more impressive than moving up for one fight.

nobody from 154 to 160 would be favored to beat Chavez Jr at 165???? Ok. Jermall charlo would be favored to beat him, so would Andrade, so would Jacob's, hell even willie Monroe would be favored to beat him. Journeyman Gabe Rosado might even beat Chavez at 165. What has Chavez done in over 3 yrs to think he'd be favored to beat anyone relevant? His only advantage is size and the fact that Canelo fights at around 180 is why he'd also be favored over chavez. Not because Canelo has vastly superior skill over the best 154-160 pound fighters.
