Smith is testing because he has to as part of WBC's VADA program if he wants to stay ranked. Hopkins has been inactive for 2 years so he isn't ranked by any organization.

Yep. Seems like there was one other fight that sticks out, where he refused testing. Can't remember which one it was now.

Hopkins is 51 fighting top-10 contenders. Nothing would surprise me with him.

Doesnt anyone else think its strange that this one man can go on for 10 years longer than pretty much everyone else?

Thing is, this just shows how shady the sport can be sometimes. BHop, ancient wonder, highly regarded by all the boxing luminaries... possibly juiced, just to get thru the fight. And I am a fan of Bernard for many years. Hopefully, the 'looks' of this aren't what it really is. I'd hate for him to risk his legacy over an issue like this.
Yea...but at some point you gotta say, yea...he's probably on something. Whether it was some time in his 40s or now.

Agreed. Like Floydie finally getting caught juicing in his final fight... and of course that's why he won't come back for #50. He likely juiced for his last dozen or so fights. And we'll likely never know if/when BHop juiced before this fight. I would like to think Bernard hasn't done it... but lately I have been surprised a bunch of times over the issue.

In this day and i age, I'd be more surprised if an elite athlete over 35 wasn't on something. The technology and research is there.

I don't recall hearing any news that Floyd tested positive going into his fight with Andre Berto.

3 weeks after the fight before it was reported. Do some research, it's easily found.
