Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Gives High Praise To Terence Crawford

The standout performer, for me, on a busy weekend of televised boxing was a man who I believe has greatness within him. Now I don't make such statements about too many boxers, but Terence 'Bud' Crawford really does look the part and already one of the very best in the business.

Let's hope we see Pacquiao vs. Crawford in June! I think Crawford is a better boxer than P4P#1 Andre Ward! You could probably say the same about Rigo, Loma, and GGG!

I think Crawford is a really special fighter. The ease with which he switches from southpaw to orthodox and vice versa is effortless. His angles. His combos. His diversity of attack. And his defense. All that with his desire to get his opponent out if the ring makes him a must-see fighter in my book...

I agree with the weight problems though. Harsher punishments should be put forward. It's bad enough that weigh-ins have become pretty worthless considering people can balloon 20+ pounds over the division weight limit. To add the unprofessionalism of missing on your attempt to get a weight advantage is unacceptable. If it's that hard, move up or train better. I give Brook a lot of crap for crying about draining weight, but he is orofessional enough to make it... Oddly enough, Chavez Jr made weight. LOL. I wouldn't have expected him to not be an example considering how many people failed at it. LOL

I've been a bit salty about Crawford ever since he beat Gamboa but this year he showed he's the real deal and I'll always respect him for travelling to the UK to face Burns in his backyard

Crawford is the truth, but let's be honest, if he wasn't on BoxNation Warren would NOT be extolling his gifts, he'd be praising the best BoxNation fighter, whether that be Loma, Ward, Rigo or whoever. The guy has ALWAYS got an agenda.
