I read this thinking he fights this Sunday on Univision, FML. I was excited for a second. This kid is the real deal and one of the most exciting prospects in all of boxing.

Big fan of this kid, he is very talented and likeable. He needs a real test next year to gage exactly where is at. Seems to have it all and looking forward to his next fight

Valdez is improving by fight and is expanding his fan base by fight.

He has the skills and a fan friendly style to become a house hold name.

Interested to see who Top Rank gets him in with next. I think Abner Mares would be a great fight.

Eventually he and Jo Jo Diaz have to fight but HBO and the promoters probably want to improve there profiles before that happens.

                Good young fighter.

Hopefully he steps up a bit next year.

I'd love to see him against Gary Russell jr at the end of 2017

Exciting fighter for sure. Hes got to learn how to vary his punches though. Everything is thrown at the same speed and intensity. He remind me of Lemieux a bit in that regard and I can't imagine it's going to serve him well once he faces better fighters.
