World class fighters like mayweather dont take a body beatin like some of rickys early foes, even in his fight last nite ricky couldnt get off body shots and mayweather would destroy him

If hatton grows into the welterweight division effectivly, and does very well agaisnt gatti, boldamir, or cotto, i would see him beating Mayweather. IF he learns to cut the ring off a bit better, get inside and let his left go to the body, i dont see mayweather saying up for very long.

Sure u could say the opposite. If mayweather avoids having himself get cut off in the ring, he could contually dodge and counter Hattons monster left hook. But hattons to quick a learner. He bully fight if he has to and i really see him winning this fight once he learns the ways of the welterweight division.

But if Hatton were to have foughten Mayweather instead of Collazo last night, he would of taken a beating and would have gotten KOed early. He'll grow into it relativly quickly.

Heres what i see happening in Hattons career.

Hatton takes on Castillo at 137(because i think he'll beat carrales, even though i want carrales to win.) Hatton wins by KO in the 10th round cause he'll have his incredible body shots back.

Hatton takes on Gatti back at 147. I think hatton will win by either late decision, or his stamina will outdo Gattis by a lot and he'll dominate him in later rounds, resulting in a KO in the 11th or 12th.

Hatton takes on Cotto, possibly, at 147. He may lose. I can see this fight going either way. If hatton has really learned the ways of the welterweight division by then, i see him winning for sure. If he is still kinda warming up to it, i see him getting KOed in the later rounds.

Hatton takes on Pretty boy Floyd mathweather at 147. IF he beat cotto he will KO mayweather. i think the only way hatton could win is if he KOes him, and i can see it happening if Hatton effectively uses his left hook to the body. IF he loses to cotto, i dont even see this fight happening. but if it does, Hatton may or may not lose. IF he won, it wouldnt be by KO, because if he loses to cotto it clearly shows that he is not a welterweight.

mayweather would have fun with fatton, it would be ridiculous. imagine rocky marciano takin on ali, prime louis, holmes, but fatton is not as skilled as marciano

World class fighters dont go down from body shots? what are u saying. it happens all the time. and we arent saying that a body shot is gonna KO him, we are saying that Hattons body shots are gonna take mayweathers speed away, and ultimately get a KO by going to the face.

And the reason he couldnt get body shots off last night was because he wasnt throwing them. Everytime he threw them he landed fairly cleanly and u could tell i hurt Collazo. because it hurt him so badly, he protected it very well for the rest of the fight.

Hatton is overrated. He is an exciting fighter so I understand why people like him but there is no way he is going to be able to compete with the top welter weights (PFB for example). And as for him improving so much he has already had 41 fights. I do agree that we cant judge him on his first fight a welter because alot of guys look slopy right after they move up but Hatton doesnt have the tools to compete with the best.

                  Yes he does.

At least we can agree that he is the best junior welter out there right now. He dominates the division. Can we all agree on this?

And i think hatton does have the tools. Hes got some of the best stamina in the sport. Hes got some of the best body punches in the sport. Once he takes on the big names, he'll learn how to thrown body punches effectively at welterweight. He'll take away a guy like mayweathers speed. He'll wear him down, open him up, and knock him out.

But right now its really up in the air. If he does great in his next fight at 147, we'll know it was just a fluke and he had the jitters and stuff for his first welterweight fight. IF does bad againt then he isnt a welterweight. then maybe he should stay down and junior welterweight and dominate the division till the end of time.

But u cant tell right now. u really cant. i say we all shutup about this fight for now, and speak our opinions after his next welterweight fight, which will most likely be in 9-11 months, because hes goin back down to fight the winnier of castillo carrales.

I see Hatton as a one of those tough fighters who will slug it out with anyone but lacks the accuracy and defense to be the best. Swarmers like ricky will always be beaten by "Slick" fighters who can slip his punches and fire away from the out side. He does have great stamina and will always be dangerous but I think he will become one of those guys that is a "test" for other fighters on their way up not a undisputed champion.

Hatton's good but he wont beat Mayweather, that relentless attack of Hatton may bother him early, but the way Floyd can adjust during a fight is scary. Mayweather beats him.
