  • Comments Thread For: Stiverne: Don't Compare My Failed Drug Test To Povetkin's Failure

Ekaterinburg, Russia - Former World Boxing Council (WBC') heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KO's) says there is no comparison between his failed drug test and the testing failure by upcoming opponent Alexander Povetkin (30-1-0, 22 KO's).

It'll be interesting to see how Povetkin fares without the PED's he's used over the last few years, I do however still believe he will knock Stiverne out. Should this fight go into the latter rounds though Povetkin may tire, Stiverne has been caught using weight stripping PED's too and stamina increasing, I don't know how this guy can take a shot at Povetkin. Stiverne failed a test and Povetkin actually passed !

Technically speaking Povetkin didn't fail the test.

I like this "energy drink" excuse he's got going. Wonder if my wife will buy the idea that I blew $300 at the bar and woke up in some girl's apt because of the dope they put in those energy drinks. Only one way to find out I suppose...

            I agree......

IDC if it was "legal" at the time... he was taking extra bs and all of a sudden he went from going 12 rounds with Huck to ko'ing dudes left and right.

The dude passed 6 of 7 tests, and the substance wasn't banned until January of this year. Not only that but his levels we're so far below what it would be if he was actively doping that it was suspected he stopped before it was illegal. But you know i'm naive with my facts.

yeah that's fine but we still have facts in this case.

You can make a very valid argument that the majority of top athletes are doping to some extent.
