Molina is a very average mediocre heavyweight and Joshua is likely the best heavyweight in the world today. Molina could have trained as long as he wanted and he still would have been KOed quickly and easily. Going into the fight Molina said nothing about not being properly trained for the fight. He was very confident of winning and said he had trained full time for the fight and was ready for war.
People need to quit with the excuses, especially when they're on record before the fight saying they have trained well and are well prepared. Do they forget that interviews before the fight don't go away?
It was the same with Canelo v Floyd. 2 days before the fight 152 was going to make him quicker and a better fighter according to his team, it was the perect weight. As soon as he lost, 152 was too low and he was drained.
Anyway it's not like Molina only had a few weeks. He did only have 5 or 6 weeks notice about fighting AJ but was already in camp anyway as he was due to fight Hughie Fury on the Wlad v Fury rematch undercard.
And the end of the day though, Molina is not a good fighter. This is a man who got flattened in a round off Arreola. His claim to fame is lasting longer v Wilder than most do.
Molina looked lost even before he entered the ring.. He looked intimidated from the bell & did not even try to let his jab going forget his right hand..
