Kostya is one if the greatest, one of the best technicians of all time, he was as complete a a fighter as there ever was.

He never got respect for his defense, but it was top tier, and he didn't she'll up in a defensive posture like thst **** Floyd, Kostya and was brilliant defensively while standing right in front of you ready to counter at all times.

I hate these defensive fighters today, if your in full defensive mode and not in position to throw back, your not a great defensive fighter, your a coward.

His son will probably suck though, great fighters never make good trainers.

I'm guessing he's got some of his dad's style.....wonder how much of his dad's power he got.

Beginning at light middleweight...he's certainly bigger than Kostya was.

32-1 isn't an extensive amateur career, so not sure how fast he'll be moved.

As you can see by the same sig I've had since I got on this site, Kostya is one of my all-time favorites...Killer instinct, extreme power, but I always thought he should have developed his jab. He waved it too much for my liking. Hope he's teaching Jr. to pump that thing out hard and straight. Glad to see there's guys on here that appreciate him like I do...can't say that I miss that horrible ring entrance song though. Ha Ha

He didn't have a strong jab but it was good enough for how little he used it.

Kostya was a toe to toe fighter, all this moving around BS you see today, he never did any of that. He didn't want to keep his opponent backed up with a jab, he wanted his opponent to fight him.

And he didn't really need a jab to fight other fighters who jabbed a lot because he was so good at timing it and getting around it.

If opponents tried to jab him he legit just walked right up to them and went around it every time, Kostyas feel for distance snd timing was exceptional.

You don't see anyone doing that kind of **** anymore, Rigondeux and that's it. Past fighters didn't have anywhere near the kinds of trouble fighters have today with the jab.

Look how easy Kostya gets around mayweathers jab. Kostya didn't give a fck about a jab.

This is real high level technique. Not the garbage see today where fans call a fighter slick because he throws a jab and than does 10 laps around the ring and doesn't get hit.

Kostya was a true slick fighter.

Too be he didn't have enough confidence in his skills to avenge his brutal defeat at the hands of Cool Vince Phillips.

                Vince took his soul.
