    Keith Thurman - Danny Garcia

    These fights are being discussed:
    Brandon Rios - Victor Ortiz
Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez - Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
    Gennady Golovkin - Daniel Jacobs*
Errol Spence Jr. - Kell Brook

Pretty good start to the year if you ask me.
Those fights I highlighted mean absolutely nothing and GGG v Jacobs is not only a cake walk, it's not on PBC and neither will Canelo v Jr if it comes to fruition.

however I'm glad about 2 things:

    1. This pretty much acknowledges that they've put on bs fights for almost 2 years now.

    2. The year will start with DeGale, Jack, DG and Thurman and hopefully by the summer we'll see DeGale v another champ/Groves 2 and the winner of DG/Thurman against Brook or Khan.

However, going off of what I'm seeing thus far, if guys like Garcia, Jack, DeGale, Thurman, Porter keep up their current activity then we won't see any "big" fights beyond the first 3 months on PBC/Show/Haymon town. I hope I'm wrong and them admitting their standards were ****e in the past is a good start.

No, the year will start with Lara vs Foreman, which was aggressively pursued by Decubas and Lara saying they needed to entertain the Cuban community in Miami.

It's never too late to bounce back. Like I always say, boxing is big when it wants to be big. I mean really big. It's precisely why GBP, TR, etc. are still in business. Same reason why Schaefer keeps coming back.

Canelo vs Golovkin would be bigger than Canelo vs Cotto, for example. But I'm in no rush to see that fight. Fans can't rely on having only few stars in this sport. The more stars the better.

There are still lots of fights that fans are interested in seeing. They need to be made next year.

Adrien Broner - Adrian Granados (stopped Amir Imam)

                    Feb 25 2017
Lucian Bute - Eleider Alvarez (step up for him, and Stevenson will be next)

Brandon Rios - Victor Ortiz (is a good fan friendly match up)

The only fight that has any significance other than the ones I posted is Anthony Joshua - Wladimir Klitschko

Artur Beterbiev is trying to get an IBF eliminator but no one wants to face him. Same with Spence (we may see Brook vs Khan next).

Any good / significant fights on HBO that we don't know about. (at least Haymon is not putting these things on PPV like they are)

So what if that guy stopped Amir Imam? Who the hell is Amir Imam? What does that mean to the relevancy of boxing? Zero. Nada. Nothing. Heck, who is Broner in 2017? Every time he has stepped up, he has lost. Last time he fought anyone worth a damn he lost all but 1 round lol

Bute hasn't been relevant since Froch took his soul and he is likely a drugs cheat who isn't worth a damn at light heavyweight.

So what if Rioz and Ortiz is a fan friendly fight? I'll definitely be watching it but what relevance does it have to boxing overall? None of these are important fights, as you claim they are.
