If we are talking about a fight that really makes financial sense, Canelo vs Chavez Jr would do really good numbers. I think it would be a fun fight to watch with Chavez jr pressing the action and Canelo counter punching. As much as I hate pointless matches, I'd let this one slide base on their projected PPV numbers and the action in the ring. Do you guys think it will happen? How much PPVs do you think it will get?

I don't know that it does. It's strictly for Mexican American fans and it's more of a sideshow. Chavez is lacking in credibility and there's no reasonable weight they can meet at. Buma$$ Chavez is also taking no flat fees lol.

Believe it or not his ass sells. A lot of casual fans, specifically Mexicans watch him fight and if you match him with Canelo, it would do big numbers. The weight thing is the issue along with the whole Haymon/Golden Boy dynamic. DLH won't do the flat fee **** with Chavez jr. He knows he brings a big fan base with him.

It'd get bad write-ups, zero mainstream appeal. I guess it'd give us the measure of the Mexican Ppv power.its strong but all megafight had some crossover appeal.

No way this happens. I don't even want to hear they are fighting at some 170 catchweight or some **** like that after Canelo's history.

How much PPV numbers you think it'll get if it's on cinco de mayo?

Per Gbp, they just cleared 1m buys. Glaser says 700k.

I dont think so..why? because of the hispanic backing?

Boxing is huge in the UK right now and they would be buying that fight like mad to wacth GGG. GGG also has a great american following and chavez is relatively unknown.

                  Chavez Jr. wouldn't sell squat.

He went in undefeated vs Martinez and sold 300k. His stock has dropped tremendously since then.
