Hatton needs to work on his defense.

My card has Hatton winning by 2 points. Not as close of a fight as some poster here make it out to be.
      I agree!!!

I think people are making to much of a deal with Hatton getting rocked a bit towards the later rounds:

he, for once in his life, looked a bit tired, and he wasn't keeping his hands up throughout the fight, which casued him to get clocked over and over...that wears on anybody, especially a fighter moving up in weight that isn't really a 147lb fighter.

the combo that collazo landed in the 12th was great reminded me of ward hitting gatti in their first fight. And there was possibly a knockdown in the 12th round by collazo

          overall a good fight
** It was an excellent fight, though maybe with too much clinching the last few rounds.

Collazo is as tough as any fighter today and gives any welt hell, though Margarito would eventually pounnd him out. Hatton whipped him with left hooks and lead rights and Collazo's corner had to loosen the tape on his gloves to buy him some rest. No doubt he would have gone down for good during that phase.

Tremendous combo landed by Collazo in the last round, but Hatton recovers quickly and Collazo didn't have the strength to finish him, or even knock him down. By body language, Collozo was the whiner in the bout. He was always looking and complaining to the ref about something instead of trying to put together something to keep Hatton off of him.

For one, tape coming loose on gloves is not a new incident, and if he was the tired and "buying time" why didint he get dropped from this fatigue you speak of? Surely if it was that bad Hatton should have floored him by round 10.

I think thats more than a stretch going into the realm of gross exaggeration

and i have Hatton winning 10, but it was an EXTREMELY close round and could have easily gone in Collazos favor.

                Hatton won 11 clearly.

                And Hatton lost 12 clearly.

And i like how the Hatton fans and COllazo fans finally calmed down. Nobody is saying that Collazo got robbed anymore, and nobody is saying hatton dominated.

Now people are are agreeing that Hatton won an extremely close fight, and a rematch should definetly take place in a couple of years maybe. Collazo is the first person to rock Hatton like that, simply because he had the extra weight and the inexperience at hatton at the weight. Still a good fighter though.

Just as a comment on the Gif... the one of Collazo hurting Hatton isn't the good one. A .GIF of his right hook then straight right (if memory serves me correctly) in the 12th was when he was hurt most.

All Collazo had to do was keep his jab output to about 40 a round instead of 20 here and 40 there. The 11th round was key because for whatever reason he wasn't punching or anything that round and by the twelth it was too late and he need a knockdown or knockout
