I just can't help but feel this fight is a few fights too early for Joshua. Even with Klitschko's layoff. So many variables. Wlad is used to fighting in front of 60k plus, and this will be 90k people! He's been in big championship fights for 10 years, and he knows all of the old school tricks. It'll be an interesting fight at least. We'll see if he's strong enough to hold Joshua after he jabs and unloads. Also how Joshua handles that frustration--because it frustrates most boxers. He learned from the very best in Emanuel Steward, "First we break them, then we take them." Really looking forward to watching this fight.

Yes both are boring and essentially the same type of fighter.

Big, robotic, one big shot (right hand), decent jabs, no inside game (hug).

If you honestly believe that watching Joshua steamroll bum after bum is entertaining that's up to you.

When he moves up in calibre of opposition he will fight just like Klitschko.

Props to Wladimir, at 41 years of age, and after damn near 70 professional fights he still has that motivation, he will go down as one of the all time greats.

Easy to say letting the guns go, but we often see this with older fighters where they are unable to.

Wlad got KOed a couple of times early and learned to box safe. Jab, smother, jab, smother, until the opponent was worn down enough that he could unload his right without risk of counter. And it worked for 10 years.

Fury was the first person to take away his jab as he was the same size and boxed tall. So Wlad had no smother, no risk-free right, and that was the fight we saw. The right stayed at home all night.

Maybe he didn't expect that, so had no Plan B, but that's certainly how it played out - no Plan B.

vs Joshua he knows Joshua is similar size, so the old jab and smother won't likely work. Question is who has the better jab ? Klitschko could stay on the outside for a long time jabbing if he has the advantage there, then smother Joshua by moving inside if Joshua tries to get close and throw his right. If Wlad finds that works in the early rounds, expect a long boring fight and he'll grind out a points win.

Can Joshua match Wlad's jab and get his right going ? That's the million dollar question - I suspect he can. If so it becomes a battle of right hand bombs, and that's where it becomes the first to land. But can Wlad really unload a right when there is a risk of counter after 10 years of not doing it ? I don't think he can - but we'll see.

WLAD is old. that is a fact. AJ isnt in his prime yet. I have to favor Joshua on this but i still think Wlad has one great performance.

                    Quit funny...

Wilder usually weights in 220-225 lbs, weighted 226 lbs against Arreola.

While Anthony Joshua usually weights in 245-250 lbs... 249 lbs against Molina...

                      Wladimir's getting knocked out cold.

Unlike the Corrie Sanders fight, he's not getting back up.

It's a hard way to go out, but in the end, Father Time catches us all.
