Lacy shots look and sound hard but i dont think he's a KO puncher, if you watch a fighter like Cotto he can make KO's look effortless!
Oh when he first started out he was knocking out everybody, but then again I'm sure he was placed in there with the right opposition too..they all are in the beginning. But that's what I meant..he's not knocked out anyone..not a TRUE knockout, in quite a while, and theyre 'supposed' to be his size and from what I've always heard, Sheika doesnt have the best chin ever and he only got a tko with him, so I doubt he could take out a heavy. I like him, alot, but I see limitations, and he has a few of them
No unanimous decision.Lacy's power isn't that great but he has the size and he wears guys down with a load of punches(Don't know how Sheika stayed on his feet)
Damn, WHY was I thinking that fight ended early?? Now thats a tad embarassing (thats IT "S"..no more tapes for you!! )
Yeah, you could be right. You just never know with all the weight fluctuations that occur between the time these fights are scheduled, the weigh-in, and the actual fight. But God Almighty, he looks huge every time he's on.
Jeff Lacy(although he likely ways over 200). How unfair for his division. No wonder he beats everybody up.
serioulsy doubt that
he doesnt look that big
and if he does
its cuz hes so damn short
hes only 5'9 and fights at 168
his size n figure looks right to me
Tsyzu,Trinidad, and plenty of other top pros would handle the majority of heavyweights on the planet. By heavyweight I simply mean people who weigh over 200 pounds. Non-boxers and toughman fighters most of them. Even a huge muscular guy like a prime Arnold Swarchenegger would impress me immensely if he lasted an entire round with Mayweather, let alone Trinidad.
But if you are talking about a top fifty professional HW, I think a handful of guys have the power to do so. The biggest factor would be that most heavyweights would hurt them easily, and with only glancing blows, while they would need a direct hit to even stagger let alone knock down a heavyweight. If you gave Trinidad a motorcycle helmet and body vest so he didn't have to worry about getting hit in return, he could hurt a lot of heavyweights.
When a true puncher hits you, you're going to feel it, unless you are one of those rare people who have a great jaw. Sometimes that isn't even enough as Willard was huge and iron chinned and yet Dempsey's power crushed him regardless.
There are small guys out there that have the power to KO a heavyweight with a direct hit, but the odds of them delivering that power before getting KO'ed themselves are very slim.
Wayne Braithwaite could KO alot of the heavies I reckon!
Exactly..he is my pick...too many people are picking Zoo and Tito...these guys are just too small...Tito may have a shot but not Zoo he weighs a 140 ****ing pounds...there are only a couple guys out there that fit this threads description and the big truck seems to me to be one of those guys.
