Not this guy!!!! I've been a fan of Mares since the BW tournament and I am through the roof he has got this win like I predicted he would. The Leo fight was so close IDK why people would assume he was shot.

Agbeko x2, Darchinyan, Moreno, Ponce de Leon, draw with Perez, came back from a brutal KO loss to Jhonny, gave a gutsy effort against Leo but fought the wrong fight and now a win over a bigger man in Cuellar. This guy is a throwback. Always have been and will always support Abner. All class.

this is what i posted yesterday after the fight, hats off to mares, he is far from done

very disappointed with cuellar, he didn't change one bit with roach, i know is their first fight together but he's been training for this fight the entire year. he needs to change, not his corner. he fought the same way he's been fighting. very sloppy on the atack susceptible to every counter.

and mares looked far from done, congratulations. would love to see him vs frampton, i think their styles will collide very well

OK Larry... getting at me again. First with the "why is everybody hyping up J Rock" thread, now with the Mares proved everyone wrong. OK OK, I'll eat my crow. I was wrong about Charlo (I thought it would be a close fight, didn't realize Charlo was quite so big) and I figured Cuellar would win (in all fairness, I didn't know much about either one). My hats off to both those winners. They are real, deserving champions
