We don't know how good Williams is, this is the first time he's fought someone that wasn't crap.

Exposed may not be the right term, he might just be average.

he walked into a power jab against a guy known for having a great power jab. fighters with good chins have been dropped with jabs before, cotto dropped clottey for instance. kell brook even knocked a guy out with a jab like that, robles didnt have a particularly good chin but still.

a power jab is a legit punch, if you know how to throw it and time it right it will do that kind of damage. williams chin is fine and his skills are excellent. charlo is just a beast.

He was put on his ass by a jab. He really can't take a punch. Either that or Charlo is packing some serious heat.

But Charlo couldn't knock down Austin Trout.
We'll see when Williams fights another.

I think a good fight for him is a Frank Galarza or John Jackson. Not Charlo but way better than the other guys he's been fighting.

Boxing fans are so ****** sometimes, why does it have to be one or the other?

Just like any team can lose a game/match any given day, a fighter can lose for a variety of reasons, it doesn't have to be that they got "exposed".

Boxing fans try to hold fighters to either one end of the spectrum or the other, ignoring the middle ground: "if he wins, he's the real deal, if he loses, he was a hype job".

Maybe the other fighter was better, maybe he wasn't, maybe he was just better that particular night. Maybe he wasn't better at all, he just landed the right punch at the right time.

"lucky" punches are rare as well, you are watching skillfuly placed punches more often than not.

A prime example is JMM stopping Manny, anyone who calls that a lucky punch doesn't know boxing, period.

J Rock is a quality fighter, was beating the shyt out of Centeno Jr., it was less competitive than Sulecki-Centeno, Sul being a top 10 mw.

Like others have said, it's the jab as well.

Now this is not enough to say Williams has a glass chin, but now we need to keep this in mind going forward. He might have one.

thats how it works on this site, if you lose you are a bum, if you get knocked down or knocked out then you are packing glass on your chin. Its no wonder that fighters dont take many risky fights cause if they lose then thats them done with, the hype dies. Gary russell was pretty highly rated, then he got outboxed by the greatest amateur of all time and noone talks about him now lol

J Rock definitely has skills, but his chin is suspect for use. He was nearly stopped with a jab. Ward got up from a jab and was fine. Williams was chicken dancing, meaning his chin is below average
