Canelo is all wrong for middleweight and the top 154lbers. He has the height and reach of an average welterweight but the frame of a middleweight. Remember when Vanes used to be considered a big JMW? Jermall, Jermell, Hurd, J-Rock, Lubin, and Andrade are all over 6ft with a longer reach by Canelo. Canelo is skilled but a good big man beats a good little man. You saw how J-rock had to reach and take chances last night.

I don't think anyone at 154 poses the threat that Golovkin does to Canelo. Even though Canelo can be a diva at times, it doesn't mean he isn't one of the better boxers out there right now. Both Charlo brothers have plenty of flaws that Canelo can exploit. I personally think Andrade is Canelo's toughest matchup at 154.

Cotto didn't almost win. He clearly lost.

Jermall & more so Andrade will provide stiffest test at 154 for Cinnamon

It was closer than many would like to remember, though I agree the decision was clear in itself.

A prime Cotto doesn't lose that fight and that's important to remember and consider because the context of the fight matters more than the name on paper standing alone.

              Stopped reading here.

This is why people hate on Canelo.

              Absurd statements like this.

Canelo has already beat fighters better than Charlo and Andrade, a couple of guys who want nothing to do with Lara.

If any of those fights take place next, I'll expect the same posters to continue their cry baby tendencies when Canelo beats them up.

A prime cotto doesn't have the experience to hold or use his footwork as much especially to get away when in trouble. And canelo got him I trouble more than a few time, especially in the last round.

please don't allude to using holding being some good veteran tactic, it isn't, and Cotto isn't one to resort to holding as a habit.

I don't think you are familiar with Cotto at all if you think he had less footwork earlier in his career than he does now.

Thirdly, he wouldn't be in trouble against a one dimensional fighter like Canelo in the first place. His punches would have more steam, he would absorb punches better, and he would have sharper defense and would be hurting Canelo early on.

Didn't say he didn't had less footwork or decided not too hold but there were times when he chose not to use them, Pac and Margs 1 come to mind

Also I don't see canelo as some boxing God, but dude clearly isn't a 1 dimensional fighter, sure he's short and got cement feet

But you probably got a personal bias if you think that.

Finally, I find it hard to believe a WW could be hurting a MW early on

                      But ok.
