I blinked and Blackledge was on the ground sideways. Good stay busy fight for Smith. While Jack & DeGale have wasted nearly a year not fighting, Callum's stayed in the ring and continued his development and built his confidence.

Scary. Immediately reminded me of Wayne Alexander vs Takaloo.

Smith continued his development with this fight? And what exactly did he develop? It looked like a step backwards to me. It was a poor, flat, uninspired performance in a fight that was supposed to be a quick KO for Callum. If he performs anywhere near as anxious and haphazard against Degale or Jack, he will get schooled and/or KO'd. I wish him the best but he was beating a dead horse against Blackledge and should've had him out of there much earlier. Blackledge took way too much punishment, was not competitive and should've been blown out by the fourth round.
