    Hatton Won, Fair and Square

the 1st round KD is the thing that sealed the deal for ricky. you people who have the balls to call yourselves "boxing fans" need to remember something:

points are scored on clean punching, effective aggressiveness , ring generalship, and defense.

neither fighter did much on defense, collazo got the clean punching mostly, ring generalship went to ricky for keeping his man on the ropes and getting in close, and if you say collazo gets effective aggressivness, i'll twist ur nuts off.

granted, it was a very close fight. i had it 115-112 for hatton. hatton did not dominate but he turned up the heat in the championship rounds, the rounds that counted.

hatton won fair and square. every1 who thinks differently is either ignorant or biased against euro fighters.

hatton won the WBA welter title, and no amount of brooklyn bitching will change that.

i think hbo who is investing a large amount of money on hatton for a big ppv fight with a top class champion, just found out what kinda **** fighter hatton really is. no way is he competition to the top level boxers. and no way did he won this fight tonight. margarito would rip hattons head off.

clean punching, effective aggressiveness , ring generalship, and defense are not scored on an equal plane. its a heavy emphasis on clean punching which Collazo clearly got the better of. Hatton got a gift decision. and theres no bias against euro fighters, Prince Naseem is my 2nd favorite fighter ever.

hatton won the championship rnds!!!!!......he lost the 10th. rnd. and clearly lost the 12th. he was holding the whole rnd. so he would not get his ass knocked down..do you seriously think that is "turning up the heat" ??

i thought hatton won by a hair, that 1st round kd really helped him. collazo was landing some good shots in the 12th and i thought "oh **** if hatton goes down it's over for him" but he held together, clinched and tried to get some shots off and showed his heart.

Anyone who said this was a "robbery" hasn't watched much boxing. It was a close fight...but it ridiculous to cry that either way..it's like the boy who cried wolf..save that for the real robberies..
