He wanted the Chavez fight because he wanted to fight in Vegas, which was one of his goals he'd talked about for years. Froch had no reason to go up in weight, look at the fighters he fought, there's like 8 guys better than anyone on Golovkins resume.
The money Froch would've made Calzaghe before he retired pailed beside Jones and Hopkins. Froch hadn't even fought Pascal before Joe's last fight. He wasn't a big name while Calzaghe was last active in 2008.By the time it made any sense he was calling for a fight with a retired guy, something he now deems unacceptable. He did nothing but moan about Groves getting a shot at him. Then, while having a good rival who was well known in De gale he retired. His best win is a faded keeper, and a guy GGG knocked out thorough a headguard in Bute.

Who knows what Brook can go on to achieve. My point remains about guys like Starling, much naturally smaller than Nunn, giving a very good bigger fighter a good fight, and it not being some unprecedented event in boxing history. Guys like Spinks, destroyed by Judah, taking Taylor the distance, these things happen and it doesnt make a guy trash for taking some shots from a lighter man. I don't think calling for fights against bigger men necessarily means you have to conced everything in negotiation, and let's face it, we didn't hear this 166 thing from Froch until now. Eubank acted like he was taking the fight right up until the last moment according to Hearn. The excuse he gives is unbelievable, that the money was too much too soon. Canelo claimed 160 was fine, then binned the belts. I know Saunders and Jacobs have both said they needed more time in interviews. I know who looks more to blame in my eyes. Other than Degale at supermiddle, who is there to provide a big fight?
At 68 Jack and Bute would be big as well. He could do an olympic remtach with Dirrell. He's not trash for taking shots from Brook, he just doesn't get points for that win. He definitely shouldn't be top 3 p4p for anything that he's done thus far. So with him holding that position there is an expectation; one that I believe he's failing to live up to.

Ah ok, so GGG should've catch weighted Brook, but Ward and Froch shouldn't catchweight GGG? Eubank pulled out for no good reason, why no criticism or coward tag? He pulled out of Saunders rematch too, and claimed he'd smash De gale while spotting him the weight. But you call the guy who accepted the fight the coward? Heard said at the time he was setting up the show, he offered Brook the exact same deal he did Eubank and Brook took it. He didn't offer Brook a catch weight and Brook is on interview saying unlike others he didn't want one.

Calzaghe-Froch would have been UK PPV and a stadium fight. Calzaghe-Hopkins was regular old HBO with a crowd of 14k. If you think he made more money fighting Hopkins you're ******ed. He probably made more fighting Manfredo than he did Hopkins.

Golovkin asked for catchweights against fighters 1 division up but wouldn't give one to a fighter 2 divisions down. That makes him an hypocrite and a coward.

I wouldn't have him above Ward, Kovalev, Gonzalez or Lomacheko on a P4P list, because the opposition hasn't been there. But personally I'd rather see him fight the good middles and maybe Degale. Jack they will say was too old, Bute shot and Jaded. Dirrel seems to have commitment problems although I'd rather see any of them than Johnson etc. I think Charlo and Andrade give him better fights than Canelo believe it or not, that fight doesn't excite me much.

Frochs record had no one on it when Joe had his last fight. We're talking 2008.He hadn't fought Pascal yet. No one knew him. His best wins were Charles Adams who he stunk against and a completely shot Robin Reid. He was nowhere near the level for ppv, and no one in the UK thought he was anywhere near Calzaghe level. At least Groves has beaten Degale and was known. He made his in the supersix, long after Joe was gone. Fight Froch on ppv. Nonsense.

Nobody was calling for the Brook fight other than Brook. You can watch his IFL interview where he states he didn't want a catch weight for Golovkin. You skimmed over Eubanks behaviour quite nicely there. You skimmed over Ward not even conceding 2 lb to Dawson. You skim over Canelo throwing his belt away after saying weight wasn't a problem. So he could go and have a superfight with Smith. I've named four good fighters who have either been beaten by or gone the distance with guys from two divisions down. All of your heroes have had their share of bums in defences. Theyve all asked for catch weights or refused to give others concessions on weight. Some have binned their titles and fought guys who've been knocked out at lower weights more than once. But only one guy labelled a coward. Which you might notice I don't say about fighters. Because no fighter is a coward. A few smacks around the head stop people talking that way. Personal dislike and doublestandards all the way.
