Accepting that fight under the mandate would have resulted in a 55/45 split, Golovkin is not getting anywhere close to 45%.

There were no negotiations dummy. Canelo vacated and golden boy said we are looking at 2017. There was no attempt to make the fight on oscar's part.

At the stage Oscar made Mosley step up Mosley wasn't a superstar yet he come up and beat Delahoya, he wasn't stopped in 5 rounds. When Nunn fought Starling he was in his prime and Marlon was giving away 6inches in height and took Nunn to a majority. Khan had been flattened twice at a lower weight and was Canelos preferred choice. Kell was basically a stand in for Eubank was unbeaten and asked for the fight. The alternatives were unknowns. Can you imagine if Golovkin had pulled out of the UK show when Brook offered to take him on? We would've been hearing "coward" more often than the initial it now. The fight is being made out to have been life and death when smaller fighters have beaten good larger fighters or given them much harder fights. He holds most of the belts at middle. Not really his fault if the competition isn't great at the weight. But who at the weight above are killers? Ward didn't leave his weight until he had to. Canelo is hanging back from middle as long as he can. Why does Golovkin have to jump up to another weight to make people happy? I wanted GGG vs Eubank. We know Eubank backed out. No one would've ridiculed him because 2 months earlier he ridiculed Canelo; he could simply say he didn't want to be a hypocrite.

Moseley was a dominate lightweight and it may have been his best weight. He wasn't Brook. Marquez did it for Floyd and Floyd caught hell regardless of the fact that he was off for a year and Marquez was top 3 P4P.

Eubanks gets criticism here, but he isn't walking around like no one wants to see him because he's that dangerous. he didn't put 3 weight classes on notice. He didn't say I'll fight some at 168, but not the best. His team isn't still talking like the #1 P4P went up and fought a top p4per to get the title, but is actually ducking me like team ggg is doing with Ward.
