Is It Time For Bernard Hopkins vs Roy Jones Jr III: The Tiebreaker?

Jones Jr beat B-Hop early in his career, nearly 25 years ago in 1993! The rematch saw B-Hop beating a very tentative Jones easily, nearly 7 years ago in 2010.

With one fight each in the bag, is it time for the ultimate boxing tiebreaker as these two legendary fighters share the ring for one last time?

B-Hop said this a few days ago "You can't compare Roy Jones to Bernard Hopkins. We are friends but Roy Jones was one-dimensional. When that one dimension left him, a mediocre fighter knocked him out."

Roy would get mauled in there.

Hopkins is too smart for him.

hopkins didn't beat jones the 2nd time "easily" he took the fight based on the later part of the fight but roys style gave hopkins trouble even though roy was well past it. (people crapped on hopkins for that performance LOL)

the 1st fight jones indeed blew hopkins out of the water.

a 3rd fight is a waste both are old men. prime for prime hopkins would never be able to do anything with jones. roy beat hopkins when it counted (right before he went on his long middleweight run)

I think Hopkins is actually onto something there. Roy was always more of an athlete than a boxer. He had a great run no doubt, but Hopkins' level of skill has been way higher for a long time.

As far as the fight, God no. Did you see the last one? Appalling. There aren't always tie breakers in boxing and believe me, in this case, I'm fine not knowing.

dunno how people can compare the two, their situations are not alike

hopkins was legitimately holding it together at the world title level very recently. Won three IBF title fights back to back then went 12 rounds with arguably the p4p best fighter in the sport

Roy has been a washed up circus act since before half the posters here had internet, getting ktfo and holding "fight a fan" events

Sure. And you can hold the fight at Jurassic Park, where all the other dinosaurs reside.

Rjj> BHop, based on their primes.
