Originally posted by Not MontyHatton really looked terrible. He usually goes: punch- get close- hold for just a sec- then goes ape****. He only did that the first round. The rest of the fight was mainly punch and hold, punch and hold, all night.
But of course HBO announcers, now that they've decided to grab Hatton's nuts, kept saying how "brilliant" his aggressive style was. I just saw a guy who was confused and unsure how to get off a combo.
Name one fighter who can apply pressure as well and as effective as hatton can? u cant name any, cause there aint any.
And the reason u dumbass Hatton haters think Collazo won was because he landed clean flurries... about twice a round... and that was it. Hatton dominated the bigger portions of the rounds. Even round 12. He won the first minute, was the clear loser in the 2nd minute and a half, and won the final minute. But they all gave it to collazo cause he did win that round.
I dont know how u can say Hatton didnt win that fight. Did u see the punch counts. Nearly every round Hatton had more punches, and like 100 more power punches. He clearly won that fightComment

The fight was rediculous with all the clinching, it seemed like 6 rounds of good fighting ruined by 6 rounds of clinching. I think Hatton barely won, but usually, in boxing, thats not enough you have to do more than that to take the title from the champion. I definatly see how people could see it as a robbery and it could have gone either way. If Collazo boxed him more he def would have won.Comment

-I am sorry but i saw Collazo woop his ass good in those middle rounds and i hate how the crew was hyping up Hatton. I mean come on,atleast be fair. And he was hugging a lot but no biggy. I think it was kinda robbery. I dont think it could have gone either, i had Collazo ahead by more then just one round so its not close. But everyone scores different things. I hope Hatton knows whats coming his way with Cotto, PBF and especially Castillo. He better learn from this (but he wont).
-Hes lucky Callazo cant punch by the way.Comment

Hatton held after nearly every punch he threw whether it landed or not. John Ruiz isn't any worse than Hatton with all the grappling. Collazo was the better fighter both inside and outside. I'm disgusted! I might not even bother to watch any more Ricky Hatton fights. Lampley was full of sh** with his commentary, and Harold Lederman, another guy that I like, was way off on the scoring. What ever happened to clean boxing?????????????? dang!!!!
But I'm not going to lie to myself about these HBO "fights". lol. What a joke!Comment

Originally posted by $Manny_P$I gotta say. That clinching of Hatton in the 1st Round was disgusting. Sorry it just was. You can't be doing that.
THAT IS HIS STYLE...if all of you would pay attention to fighters other than Americans, you would knowComment
